The Human Classification Framework: Search, Acquire, and Act
The next time you’re looking for a friend in a crowd, think about the steps you take.
You’ll see that you go through the steps of the Human Classification Framework: Search, Acquire, and Act.
These basic steps of classification are replicated in iDAR™, which mimics how the human visual cortex conceptually focuses on and evaluates the environment, driving conditions, and road hazards by pushing intelligence and processing to the edge of the network.
Unlike conventional LiDAR sensors that passively search a scene and detect objects using background patterns that are fixed in both time and in space, iDAR enables intelligent information capture, allowing for “active search,” and in many cases, the actual acquisition of classification attributes of objects in real time – just as humans do.
