Reuters Reports on Continental’s Investment in AEye

German technology supplier, Continental, is buying a minority stake in AEye to strengthen its position in the market for automated driving systems, Reuters reports. Continental will add AEye’s long-range LiDAR (that can discern vehicles on the road up to 300 meters away and a brick at 160 meters) to its existing short-range LiDAR, camera, and radar sensor technology, equipping vehicles with systems that can automate highway driving by the middle of the decade.
